Do Not Think of Investing in Iowa, Especially Not in Sac County Iowa

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been hauled into an Iowa court, and subjected to a proceeding that they called a trial. Although it consisted primarily of witnesses against me perjuring themselves on the stand, this ridiculous performance resulted in a guilty verdict against me.

I have abandoned hope of getting a fair trial in this place and among these people and I accede defeat.

The plaintiff lied about every important aspect of events and this was condoned and supported by a prosecuting attorney bereft of moral conscience and ethical constraint.

I received no effective counsel from an appointed attorney who did not bother to prepare any case, called no witnesses, presented no evidence in my defense, and failed to even mention the laws under which I was protected.  I was appointed counsel who did everything possible to assist the prosecution by delivering me into the courtroom a virtual sacrificial lamb.

I faced a judge who chose to believe transparent lies over the obvious truth, who overlooked the blatant inconsistencies in the plaintiff's story and evidence, and who did not bother to consider the laws of the state under which my action was unequivocally justified.

The appearance of a trial was presented, but it was a mere formality as the guilty judgement had obviously been made in advance by the attorneys for both sides.

Laws are on the books in the State of Iowa, but they have no force to constrain people who have no moral compass and whose behavior is anything but ethical.

I stood and spoke the truth in this Iowa court, but it was just a lynching, and I was the last to realize it.

I sat in court and listened to the lies of the plaintiff and the sheriff's deputy and was astounded. The lies came to them as naturally as breathing.  The judge has no native instinct or talent for distinguishing truth from lies and in my case chose to believe the latter.  It was as arbitrary and fundamentally unjust as a coin toss.

My attorney did nothing to discredit the lies. He must have known about them before the trial, but never disclosed them to me so that I was effectively prevented from preparing any rebuttals.

Witnesses for the prosecution sat on the stand and put words into my mouth that I never said. My attorney did not object to or question these lies. People whose testimony could have corroborated mine were never called.

I am guilty of no crime, but I accept the obvious fact that getting justice and a fair trial in Sac County, Iowa, is an impossibility.

Let no one who is or has been involved in this matter think for a second that justice is being done. What is being done is a full-fledged injustice, cruel and foul.

The State of Iowa and, in particular, the County of Sac, is an unfit place for decent people to live. My wife and I spent seven years trying to make a happy home for ourselves here, and in the course of this time, we never set foot off our own property, never caused anyone the slightest injury, never said or did anything to anyone to harm or offend them; yet, our legal right to safety and security on our own property was repeatedly violated, and not only by this plaintiff. The laws that should have protected us were demonstrated to be impotent fictions.

We are surrounded by people who, though they appear in human form, lack the fundamental qualities that define humanity: basic moral decency, honesty, integrity, respect for the rights of others, and respect for the law being foremost among these.

I assert that I have been deprived of justice. I assert that I am not guilty. I accept this court's verdict of guilty only to facilitate the greatest possible dispatch with regard to the sale of our property in Sac County Iowa so that we may leave what we have come to see as an uncivilized place populated with ignorant, dangerous, vindictive, dishonest and immoral people.

I swear a solemn oath that everything that I have said in the above statements is the truth as I have personally experienced it.
